About Weily Apps
Weily Apps is a design partnership founded in 2009. Led by Nancy Daniels and Anita Weil, they specialize in the development of fun, learning-based mobile apps.
Anita has a teaching credential in elementary education and teaching experience in a San Francisco private school. Her second career of 30 years was in the field of telecommunications, having been a technical programming architect at AT&T (formally PacBell and SBC). Her strength is her team leadership and collaborative skills in group dynamics. In 2008 Anita took on learning the requirements and opportunities of the new iPhone App Development and subsequently expanded her skills to the iPad in 2010. With app development, in addition to being the technical expert, she also specializes in code testing, user testing and evaluation.
Anita is a graduate of University of Vermont.
Nancy earned a degree in Design and Art History from Stanford University and worked as a graphic designer and art director for more than ten years. She has been working in the field of informal learning and educational product development since 2002 when she graduated from Stanford's School of Education with a master’s degree in Learning, Design and Technology. She applies her finely developed visual design skills to a variety of user interfaces. Nancy is passionate about new media and communication -- learning and sharing-- especially with potential of mobile and tablet platforms. She also founded a start-up, According To Us, an online social network for 7-12 year olds to share their lives and cultures around the world.
Anita and Nancy both reside in the beautiful East Bay hills of San Francisco where they hike regularly, and occasionally hear from their almost grown children.
